Limestone and sandstone

A row of 18th century houses in Middleham illustrating the two most common local building materials. The left hand trio are of limestone, whilst the three on the right are of sandstone construction. Some of the ground floor windows would suggest previous use as shops. A nice old grey Ferguson tractor is parked on the cobbles.
