Inspector Andy Lemon has served with Wiltshire Police for 24 years, during which time he has gained extensive experience across both Uniform and Detective roles.

For the past 10 years, he has held the rank of Inspector, undertaking a range of responsibilities including Covert Intelligence, Force Intelligence Manager and his current position as Neighbourhood Inspector for Trowbridge, Melksham and Bradford on Avon Neighbourhood Policing Teams.

The majority of Andy’s career has been spent as a Detective, having served at all ranks within detective roles. His background includes both proactive and reactive crime investigation, as well as several intelligence-based positions. In addition to his operational experience, Andy is an accredited Initial Tactical Firearms Commander and an accredited Post Incident Manager.

PC Collings is a Neighbourhood Police Officer covering the ET12 area of Trowbridge, which includes the communities of Seymour and Paxcroft. This primarily residential patch is home to several schools and community initiatives such as the ‘Kindness Café’ and the ‘Community Fridge’ at Seymour Hub.

With a strong passion for community engagement, PC Collings regularly attends events including Uniformed Services Day and hosts a monthly police stall at the local market, where she enjoys speaking to residents face-to-face and building relationships.

Before joining the Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, she served as both a Response Officer and a Police Community Support Officer in the same town - giving her in-depth knowledge of the local area and its policing needs.

PC Collings has a particular interest in long-term problem solving and has led on a number of high-demand cases involving repeat offenders. Her work has included securing Restraining Orders, Criminal Behaviour Orders, and Closure Orders for addresses linked to persistent anti-social and criminal behaviour.

Sergeant 2315 Gemma Rutter joined Wiltshire Police in October 2006. She began her policing career with initial training in Warminster before taking up her first operational role as a response officer in Devizes. She later moved to Trowbridge, continuing in response policing before transitioning to CID in 2017.

After five years working as a Detective Constable within Central CID, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and returned to Trowbridge as a Response Sergeant. She also spent time covering the County Duty Inspector role before joining the Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, where she now leads both the Melksham and Bradford on Avon teams.

With experience policing across much of the county and involvement in a number of large-scale policing operations, Sergeant Rutter brings a wealth of operational and investigative expertise to her current role. Her particular passion lies in community policing that places families at the centre of crime prevention strategies - working closely with parents and guardians to deter youth crime through diversion, education, and where necessary, prosecution.

PCSO Sophie Piper has been a dedicated member of the Trowbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team for the past five years.

As a visible and approachable presence within the community, Sophie plays a key role in providing reassurance to residents, addressing local concerns, and working closely with schools, partner agencies, and local groups.
