Community Priority:
Following concerns from local residents of Incidents of school related ASB at the bus stop on Wolverhampton Road, Birchills specifically when local schools close. Reports of nuisance behaviour and criminal damage taking place.

A joint action plan between police, schools and Walsall Council is now in place to tackle this issue.

June 2025 Update
Our officers have been working in partnership with local schools in the area to make them aware of these issues and to identify individuals involved.

We have liaised with Walsall Council who have issued warning letters to those already identified..

Police will continue to carry out targeted patrols and will monitor and will take positive action against anyone involved.

July 2025 Update
Following the interventions and warning letters issued, the incidents of ASB in the area of Wolverhampton Road and Laneside Gardens, has reduced. Some incidents of ASB have been reported mainly in relation to one specific bus stop, where youths congregate while waiting for buses to go into Walsall Town Centre. Considerations are being made regarding the bus stop and what improvements can be made to help residents that live close to the bus stop.
August 2025 Update.
While local schools are on their holiday break, ASB related issues have reduced. Local residents affected are having some respite but the issues will be monitored when schools return in September.
September 2025 Update
We will continue to monitor the ASB, work with residents and local schools to minimise the ASB at the bus stop.
October 2025 Update
Start of a new term and new pupils. ASB at the bus stop and local area, has reduced with no reports so far this term. The PACT meeting have been updated with the ongoing work and this priority will be reviewed in one month with a view to removing as resolved.
November 2025 update
Pleased to report that there have been no new reports relating to ASB at the bus stop on Wolverhampton Road. Residents are looking into long term resolution themselves, which include whether the bus stop can be moved.
November 29th Update
We are pleased to report that the ASB issues have reduced markedly. The joint work with schools and Walsall Council and Pleck Police Team have had a positive effect.
You said we did

Concerns raised regarding speeding traffic in the location of Wallows Lane, between Bescot Crescent and Bescot Road. Vehicles are speeding to change lane and to beat traffic light changes.
Concerns raised regarding speeding traffic involving 'boy racers' driving on Primley Avenue, which already has traffic calming measures.
Priority agreed at the Pleck PACT meeting held on 5th August 2025.

Walsall Council and Local Councillor will be looking to see what further measures could be put in place to reduce speeding traffic in these locations.
Pleck NHT have suggested residents work with them to carry out the SpeedWatch Scheme in both Wallows Lane and Primley Avenue. It was explained that a minimum of 2 residents are required and can actively be involved in testing vehicles that travel down these roads.
Update - Members of the public have been approached regarding setting up a Speed Watch Scheme in the affected areas of Wallows Land and Primley Avenue.
September 2025 Update
We are still working with residents to set up a SpeedWatch in the affected location. Walsall Council are still considering appropriate next steps.
October 2025
We are awaiting an update from Walsall Council regarding traffic calming measures they are considering.
Members of the public are still considering a SpeedWatch Operation to help reduce speeding in this area.
November 2025 update
We have had interest from some residents in StreetWatch for the Pleck area, this we are hoping will include Speedwatch.
November 29th Update
Work is still being done to introduce a Street Watch and Speed Watch in the area. We are always looking for volunteers to help with these initiatives, so if you are interested please contact the team for more information.

Drug related ASB is taking place in the areas of Jessel Road and Hollyhedge Lane. Drug dealing is believed to be taking place in this area. This is having a knock on affect, with obstructive parking at a junction and general ASB nuisance, which is causing concern to the local community.

The Pleck Neighbourhood Team, will use local knowledge gained from regular patrols and information received from members of the public, to build intelligence, that can be used to target the ASB and drug dealing and enforce any parking and traffic offences.
September 2025 Update
The Pleck NHT are considering next steps regarding ASB at the location. Any illegal parking will acted upon both by Police and Walsall Civil Enforcement Officers.
October 2025 Update
Patrols have been conducted in the area, checks have been carried out with no action taken at this point.
Patrols will continue for any drug activity and parking offences.
November 2025 update,
We are pleased to report that, patrols continue in the area of Jessel Road, no significant action has yet been taken but officers still keep observations in the area.
November 29th Update
Officers have continued to check the area of Jessel Road and junction with Hollyhedge Lane. The neighbourhood team will act on any new intelligence or activity in that area.

Drug related ASB is taking place in the areas of Jessel Road and Hollyhedge Lane. Drug dealing is believed to be taking place in this area. This is having a knock on affect, with obstructive parking at a junction and general ASB nuisance, which is causing concern to the local community.

Officers have been patrolling the area regularly and have conducted a number of stop and searches under the misuse of drugs act and have recovered drugs. We will continue to patrol the area regularly and make appropriate us of our powers to disrupt and prosecute those causing harm in this area.

ASB relating to drug use and drug dealing, taking place inside and outside Ramsay House, Bescot Road, Pleck, Walsall.
Offenders are gaining access to the block of flats, where they are using drugs, causing disturbance to residents and visitors to the area.

Officers from the Pleck neighbourhood team and the exploitation team have been working with the housing landlord, to target and when needed, support offenders when encountered. They are also working with residents to reassure them and offer support with issues affecting them directly.
A number of arrests have been made while addressing the issues and with the assistance of the housing landlord, taking action against any offending tenants.

Officers from the Pleck Neighbourhood Team have been conducting targeted patrols around the Pleck area engaging with motorists, offering crime prevention advice and accessories to assist in preventing vehicle crime.

Further Patrols have been completed this month to tackle these issues. We have continued with our stop searches in the area and even more drugs have been seized. We have also used the intelligence that has been found out while in the area to aid us as well as putting further new intelligence into police systems.

Officers from the Pleck neighbourhood team and the exploitation team are still working with the housing landlord, to target and when needed, support offenders when encountered. We are also offering support to residents when needed and gaining intelligence on the issues. This will help to attack the problem head on.

We are still having very positive reports from residents regarding drug use and dealing in Ramsay house. This seems to have reduced significantly and police will continue to patrol the area to keep on top of any issues that do pop up.

Intelligence is also being gathered and put into police systems regarding the issue.

On 28th Feb 2026 officers carried out a proactive patrol around the Pleck area where they carried out several stops checks on vehicles. This resulted in the seizure of a vehicle for not having insurance.

April update
Officers from the Pleck Neighbourhood Team have been conducting targeted patrols around the Pleck area engaging with motorists, offering crime prevention advice and accessories to assist in preventing vehicle crime.
During a recent operation, a vehicle was stopped for checks but made off from officers. The driver was later arrested for driving offences.

March 2026 Update
On 28th Feb 2026 officers carried out a proactive patrol around the Pleck area where they carried out several stops checks on vehicles. This resulted in the seizure of a vehicle for not having insurance.
April Update
Officers continue to carry out proactive patrols around the Pleck, Alumwell and Birchills areas, where they carried out several stops checks on vehicles. Relating to driving without insurance, theft of and theft from motor vehicle. There are also illegal parking issues in Regal Drive and Reservoir Place. Some vehicles have been issued with penalty notices and on occasion seized.
May update -
Neighbourhood officers have been liaising with traffic calming at Walsall Council to asses suspected speeding offences in the area of Broadway West and Wallows Lane.
The information provided by the council will be considered when dealing with future speeding and traffic calming measures.
June Update -
Neighbourhood Officers continue to act on vehicle crime, this includes seizing vehicles committing traffic offences, driving without insurance, drug driving and driving under the influence of nitrous oxide.

Location - Regal Drive, Pleck, Walsall.
Issue - Anti Social Behaviour, involving drug dealing, abandoned vehicles, groups gathering being rowdy and urinating in public.

Pleck and Delves officers are regularly patrolling the location, to deter the ASB, encounter and move any offenders. Vehicles abandoned will be checked for ownership and where appropriate seized and removed. The team are working with the community and local businesses to improve the situation.
May Update -
Officers continue to patrol Regal Drive to encounter individuals and disrupt related activity.
In addition, we have been working with community protection at Walsall Council and have now installed CCTV at the location, with the aim to deter related activity and help evidence any criminal activity.
June Update -
ASB patrols continue in Regal Drive and with the addition of the CCTV, offenders have been deterred from entering the location. A gate being used by offenders to gain access to private property has also been secured.

Location - Woodwards Road near to Primley Park.
Issue - Anti Social Behaviour, involving vehicles and their occupants parking up at the dead-end; drinking and taking drugs near to the park used by local families.

Pleck and Delves neighbourhood officers are conducting patrols at the location, to deter the ASB and take action against any offenders, while check for any traffic offences.

Neighbourhood officers have been conducting regular patrols in Woodwards Road, persons and vehicles have been checked and moved on where appropriate. Fly-tipping remains an issue, with Walsall Council monitoring the location.
June Update -
Regular patrols in the area have been conducted by neighbourhood officers. Those not using the park facilities have been moved on and advised.

An average speed check has been conducted regarding speeding offences in the area of Broadway west and Wallows Lane. Results have come back positive regarding the average speed. This is not to say that speeding offences are not happening at the location, but it appears that only certain individual vehicles seem to be doing this. The location will continue to be monitored and offenders dealt with accordingly.

ASB patrols are still continuing at the location. Council CCTV Is still active at the location and is making a massive difference in catching offenders at the location. A stolen vehicle was found at the location this month and the offender was dealt with accordingly.
