Setting the blueprint for West Mercia Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner’s West Mercia Safer Communities Plan has four priorities shaped by the public:

- Cutting crime – targeting the concerns, and crime types, that matter most to communities, including anti-social behaviour

Issue - Anti Social Behaviour
You said : This is a priority for the next 3 months based on resident feedback, crime data and ongoing local concerns.

We will:
- Deal robustly with people committing anti-social behaviour, particularly those on off road bikes or e-scooters making use of available legislation to divert offenders and prevent harm.
- Ensure officers are visible in areas of concern.
- Conduct further neighbourhood matters surveys to identify areas of focus

Issue:
Springfield Park - Anti Social Behaviour and protection of wildlife in the Park.

We Will:
- Conduct regular visible patrols of the park in order to deter anti-social behaviour and reduce harm
- Deal robustly with perpetrators of anti-social behaviour.

Issue: Theft
You said; This is a priority for the next 3 months based on resident feedback, crime data and ongoing local concerns.

We will:
- Deal robustly with those committing theft offences, making use of available legislation to divert offenders and prevent harm.
- Increase patrols around retail stores.

Issue - Anti Social Behaviour

We did:
2 E-scooters seized.
In addition to this in order to help reduce youth related Anti Social Behaviour (ASB), formal ASB sanctions have been implemented for those identified as persistently committing ASB.

We Will:
- Conduct regular visible patrols of the park in order to deter anti-social behaviour and reduce harm
- Deal robustly with perpetrators of anti-social behaviour.

We did:
-Three youths have been identified and referrals made to the Youth Justice Service, following ball bearings being catapulted at wildlife near to the Springfield Park area.
- Police surgeries have also been completed to engage with community and listen to and address concerns.

Issue: Theft

We will:
- Deal robustly with those committing theft offences, making use of available legislation to divert offenders and prevent harm.
- Increase patrols around retail stores.

We did:
-Visit of retail premises to provide reassurance and crime prevention advice
- A prolific shoplifter has been arrested and charged with numerous theft offences and a Criminal Behaviour Order issued.
