Perton and Pattingham Neighbourhood
Perton is a modern village with the majority of its houses built in a former RAF station. It supposedly derives its name from 'Pear Town' - in reference to the pear trees that grow in the area - which is reflected on local school crests.
Pattingham is a much smaller village and has Patsull Park within its boundaries. This was formally the Staffordshire seat of the Earls of Dartmouth and is now a hotel and golf complex.
