The police drone has been used to identify key offenders, who have then been visited by Gateshead Council.

Officers are conducting high visibility patrols at key times and community engagement events are underway to promote ways to report criminal activity. This has shown a significant reduction in incidents of anti-social behaviour and disorder.

Partnership engagement with Gateshead Council and retail premises in the area to identify those responsible. Consultation with local community groups has been undertaken. High visibility patrols have been conducted at key times. Closure orders have been imposed on problematic premises.

Quarterly ‘police and community together’ meetings with local community groups and Councillors at the Salvation Army premises. The neighbourhood team have deployed the knife arch at Gateshead Stadium Metro Station and high visibility patrols have been conducted at key times.
