Vehicle Crime

Community feedback from a recent police street surgery has highlighted an increase in vehicle crime and ASB in and around greenbelt locations such as Oxton.
There is also concerns of speeding vehicles in the Townfield Lane area.

Local policing officers will work with roads policing colleagues in order to tackle this issue and conduct roadside speeding operations to target those committing offences at peak times.
We are working closely with Wirral council ASB team to disrupt those causing local residents ASB and will gain evidence to apply for ASB prevention orders.

Residents have raised concerns regarding drug dealing in the area as well as persistent speeding and wider traffic issues.
Anti‑social behaviour has also been highlighted, particularly around abandoned buildings near Oxton Village; officers are engaging with the council to discuss future development options for these sites while continuing to provide regular passing attention to deter further issues.

In response to community concerns around drug dealing, officers have increased high‑visibility patrols in the affected areas and are conducting targeted disruption activity to identify those involved and gather intelligence. This includes both overt patrols and covert work to support ongoing enforcement opportunities.
