| 6 Jan 2024 | Drugs and County Lines Activity in Coalville which have been identified to specific streets and addresses. Response (21 Mar 2024)Work with partners and enforcement operations planned to address the reported issues. 15/01/24 - Enforcement operation completed resulting in 4x arrests. Further work being completed with partners. 23/02/24 - On-going work with partners to secure prosecutions and long term resolution to drugs issues. 21/03/24 - Following action, the issues at the address have significantly decreased. |
| 6 Jan 2024 | On-going reports of speeding in town centre locations. Response (21 Mar 2024)Public appeal to ask for locations for speed enforcement operations which will be planned and run in the coming weeks. 15/01/24 - Public have responded and suggested various locations. These are being assessed by the team and a number of speed enforcement operations are planned in the coming weeks. 23/02/24 - Multiple speeding operations targeting areas provided by members of the public. A number of advice notices and penalty notices have been issued. Work continues surrounding this. 21/03/24 - Continued operations have been held throughout the town centre with a number of advisory and enforcement's issued. |
| 6 Jan 2024 | Repeated offences and offenders targeting town centre shops. Response (23 Feb 2024)On-going work by officers including plain clothes operations in the town centre are planned as well as working with security and CCTV. 15/01/24 - Work continues with local business owners and retail crime packs. A number of shops have now been spoken with and crime prevention advice given. 23/02/24 - Further interaction with local businesses and liaison with other force areas to progress plans for retail crime prevention. 21/03/24 - We have continued with efforts to engage the local businesses and have had a recent success due to the effectiveness of the retail radio system. As a result of effective communications a person was detained and has subsequently been charged with theft offences in the town. |
