Fly-tipping.

We are carrying out joint patrols with Medway Council to help spot and stop fly?tipping. Officers have given Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) to drivers with unsafe or loose loads. We have also taken action against waste carriers who were not following the rules of their licence. A Traffic Offence Report is a report we give when someone has broken a traffic law. The offence is then reviewed and can lead to a fine, points on a driving licence, or a court summons.

Drug dealing.

We have been carrying out extra patrols in the areas that need it most. These patrols have led to drugs being taken off the streets and safely destroyed. We have also prosecuted people found in possession of drugs.

We have been working closely with the local community to gather information about crime in the area. This helped us identify a property linked to drug dealing and drug use. By working together with Medway Housing and the antisocial behaviour officer, we were able to secure a closure order for the address. A closure order is a legal order that allows us to shut down a property that is linked to crime or antisocial behaviour. It means the property cannot be entered or used for a set period of time. Anyone who ignores the order can be arrested.

We have also increased our patrols and carried out stop searches in the areas identified as having problems.

E-Scooter/E-Bikes.

We have continued our high?visibility patrols and enforcement to deal with nuisance vehicles. Officers have taken firm action, including seizing vehicles, issuing Traffic Offence Reports (TORs), and giving out Section 59 warnings when needed. We have also brought in extra patrols from special constables, the Traffic Team, and the Road Safety Unit to increase police presence.

A Traffic Offence Report is a report we give when someone has broken a traffic law. The offence is then reviewed and can lead to a fine, points on a driving licence, or a court summons.

A Section 59 warning is a formal warning we can give to someone using a vehicle in a dangerous or antisocial way. If they behave in the same way again after receiving the warning, we have the power to seize their vehicle.

These steps help us reduce unsafe and antisocial driving and make the area safer for everyone.
E?scooters have also been seized when they were being used illegally. We have visited local schools and spoken with people seen pushing e?scooters. These friendly chats help explain the rules and prevent offences before they happen.

Fly-tipping.

Medway Community Safety Unit has worked with the local council to find the people involved in fly‑tipping. The council has taken action against those not following the rules of their waste licences.

Drug dealing.

We are carrying out regular high‑visibility patrols in the areas where drug problems have been reported. This helps us spot and discourage drug activity.

We are also working with partner organisations, and a closure order has been extended on a home linked to drug use and supply. This means the address cannot reopen, and we are now applying for a full repossession order.

Dog fouling.

We have reported the problem areas to the local council. They will take action against anyone who does not clean up after their dog.
