Retail Crime

Response (1 Nov 2025)

Retail Crime.
We are currently experiencing a large amount of shop theft with in the ward area at particular premises.
Our local Constables and PCSOs are working hard to combat this by conducting regular patrols in uniform and plain clothes, we have discussed many crime prevention tactics with the stores involved and working hard together to identify the offenders, detaining and arresting suspects.

There has been a 26% reduction in shop thefts from July 2025 to August 2025, and 51% of offenders have been charged in August.
