Neighbourhood Officer Details
The Neighbourhood Inspector has overall responsibility for the entire neighbourhood policing team of Sergeants, Police Constables, PCSOs and police staff.
They are responsible for delivering on neighbourhood policing strategies, directing the deployment of the team and developing relationships with partners and key stakeholders to enable the neighbourhood policing team to work effectively.
Inspector Jacobs is the NPT commander for Grimsby WEST Neighbourhood team.
Insp Jacobs joined the police force in 2004.
The Insp is a public order commander working with local and national partners at community and sporting events
She became the NPT inspector for Grimsby west in 2023.
The inspector has lead responsibility for OP Mastery in the town centre, Clear Hold Build on the Nunsthorpe and developing plans around our Rural response, which includes Operation Agility in Immingham.
The team are dedicated to providing a dedicated service to the communities. Bringing offenders to justice and protecting those most vulnerable in our communities.

| 1 Dec 2025 | Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) Response (1 Dec 2025)We have been receiving reports of youths gathering in the communal areas of the 3 storey flats on the Willows Estate, we will be concentrating our patrols around these areas as well as Wingate Parade. We will also be carrying out routine patrols on the Wybers Estate and around Great Coates in areas that have traditionally caused issues in the past. |

| 1 Mar 2026 | Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) Response (1 May 2026)Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and the disruption it causes to residents is a top priority for the Willows, Wybers, and Great Coates areas. We understand the impact that groups gathering in communal spaces has on your peace of mind, and we are committed to ensuring our estates remain safe and welcoming environments for everyone. While we are seeing a persisting downtrend in ASB and crime, we are not complacent. We are taking direct action to maintain this momentum: Targeted Enforcement: You will see an increase in high-visibility patrols specifically targeting hotspots within the Freshney Ward. To date, we have successfully executed four Misuse of Drugs Act (MDA) warrants to disrupt local criminal activity. Stronger Partnerships: We continue to hold monthly multi-agency meetings and "Ward Walks" with Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP). These sessions allow us to identify and address specific addresses and residents of concern, ensuring that those causing harm face consequences while the vulnerable receive support. Proactive Engagement: Our team is actively conducting "Humber Talking" surveys in hotspot areas to listen to your concerns. We are also prioritising youth engagement within the community, including home visits where appropriate, to deter ASB before it escalates. Your information is the foundation of our work.
