GALLAGHER and North LINCS Retail park crime – Disruption in the BURRINGHAM and GUNNESS retail areas

Response (20 Apr 2024)

- As stated above specific plans and actions will be formulated as part of MARCH’S Retail crime action month to tackle repeat offending in the BURRINGHAM and GUNNESS area
- Plain clothes patrols will be considered and possible road crime in attendance for traffic offences.

- Residents of the Lodgemoor estate attended a multi agency meeting expressing concerns around ASB and Drug Dealing.
- Residents highlighted the removal of a CCTV camera on the estate as a possible reason form an increase in incidents.

- Safer Neighbourhoods are looking into the possibility of reinstalling a camera for a period of 3 months.
- High Visibility and Plain clothed patrols in the area
- Leaflet drops conducted to inform residents of what to report to the police and how, this was due to the lack of incidents being reported to the police.
- Intelligence gathering through humbertalking.

•Further high vis patrols to be conducted by NPT in and around the area

*NPT have been given access to the private CCTV control room located at the rear of the retail park which will be a welcome feature during OP YUELTIDE patrols and future plain clothed operations.
* Regular High Viz Patrols and Plain Clothed Operations to be conducted in the area
