Durham Constabulary polices the area of County Durham and Darlington Borough, which together occupy an area of 2,232 sq. km. The area is predominantly rural, with more than half of its residents living in settlements of less than 10,000 people. There are 12 main towns and over 260 small towns and villages, many of which are former colliery villages. The population of the constabulary area is estimated to be 604,900 (ONS mid year estimate 2007), of which 1.2% are from ethnic minority groups

I have been in Durham Constabulary for several years working in various positions such as, alcohol licensing, response Policing, neighbourhood policing, and now in a new role as the Sergeant at Sherburn Neighbourhood Team.

I am a Police Inspector with around 29 year's service, all with Durham Constabulary.
I came to the Durham City Neighbourhood role over three years ago, following a period as Force Incident Manager and Tactical Firearms Commander. in the Force Control Room.
I spent many years in Stanley as a Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant, where I listened to community concerns and worked in partnership with other organisations to reduce crime and antisocial behavior.
I am committed to Durham City and I ensure my teams are proactive, using innovation and problem solving to make Durham a better place to live, work and visit.

I’ve proudly served with Durham Constabulary for over seven years.
For the past three years, I’ve been part of the Sherburn Neighbourhood Policing Team, where I work closely with the community to help reduce crime, tackle local issues, and build strong relationships. Before that, I was on the Durham City Response Team, where I gained valuable experience in fast-paced, frontline policing.
I’m also a qualified drone pilot, which allows me to support operations with aerial surveillance and improve our response in a range of situations.

I am a Police Constable with 5 years’ service, beginning on Response and having recently moved to Sherburn Neighbourhood Policing Team. I have worked throughout the East locality and I am now the Beat Officer for Coxhoe, Bowburn, Shincliffe, Cassop, Kelloe, Quarrington Hill and Hett. I am keen to reduce ASB and investigate crime that affects those who live within the villages I police.

Utilise Traffic 183s / 184s and section 59 powers to deal with riders and people identified as being involved
Seize any off road / e bike and ensure these are not returned
Work alongside Housing providers to tackle this form of ASB when persons are identified
Issue Community Protection Warnings to those to continue to cause Anti Social Behaviour.
