I have worked all this time in the North East and Chesterfield, as response PC, Safer Neighbourhoods PC and Sgt, response Sgt, and now I am a Safer Neighbourhood Team Sgt at North East covering the Bolsover district.

As an SNT Sgt I believe it is really important that my team put communities at the centre of what we do. I am responsible for the leadership of our neighbourhood teams which are based across two stations at Clowne and Shirebrook.

It is expected that my officers work hard to investigate crime, bring offenders to justice and to protect the vulnerable. It is vital that we are visible and have good working relationships with our partner agencies to make our communities a safer place to live, work and visit.

When not doing my day-to-day role, I work hard to improve officers’ mental health support and wellbeing across the force.

I am honoured to be the Inspector for North East Derbyshire and Bolsover currently. I have come into this role with over 15 years of front-line policing experience across two force areas.

I have a long-term affinity with the area having previously been a constable and sergeant here and have built an understanding of the various communities across the area. Prior to coming back here as Inspector I have been a leader in the force around neighbourhood policing, innovation, problem-oriented policing and partnership work.

My neighbourhood teams have clear direction around what is expected from them in relation to engagement and enforcement from quarterly review of neighbourhood priorities.
