This Safer Neighbourhood area covers Matlock Bath, Cromford and Bonsall. It belongs to the Derbyshire Dales Local Policing Unit.
The Matlock Bath neighbourhood is located on the outskirts of Matlock town and is approximately 19 miles north of Derby. The area expanded during the 1700s and 1800s with the development of Arkwright's textile mill, the Cromford Canal, High Peak Railway and lead mining and quarrying.

I have been in force now for more than 20 years both as a regular officer and a special constable.
I have had a variety of roles during my career including a response PC at Alfreton and a safer neighbourhood officer covering Pinxton and South Normanton.
I spent two years seconded to Leicestershire Police working at East Midlands Airport then returned to force in 2007 on promotion to the force operations room that answers emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
Since then I have worked as a patrol Sgt in Ilkeston, spent seven years in the community safety partnership at Erewash Borough Council and have worked in custody.
In 2019 I was promoted to Inspector which has seen my carrying out roles such as reactive Inspector, local policing unit Inspector and working in Derbyshire Dales.
I have been in force now for more than 20 years both as a regular officer and a special constable.
