Residents raised concerns about anti-social behaviour and littering in and around Seacombe Park, including the presence of discarded nitrous oxide cannisters.

Increased patrolling was carried out in the area to deter anti-social behaviour and reassure the community. As nitrous oxide cannisters are hazardous, and should not be placed in public or household bins, they were removed by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Nitrous Oxide is now classified as a Class C drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. It is illegal to possess if it is, or is likely to be used for recreational inhalation and its use can cause nerve damage, paralysis, loss of consciousness and in severe cases, death. Offenders can face a fine, community punishment or imprisonment.
We will continue to patrol Seacombe Park regularly and anyone found in possession of nitrous oxide cannisters will be dealt with accordingly under current legislation.

Vehicles are parking dangerously around Woodlands Primary School.

In October, PCSO Conway conducted joint patrols with local Councillor Kris Fisher and Road Safety Officer Sarah Collins in the roads surrounding Woodlands Primary School.
We monitored the area during both the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times, engaging with drivers to offer advice about safe and considerate parking.
We also reinforced that Eddisbury Road is designated as a School Street, meaning vehicles are prohibited from driving or parking there between 08:30 – 09:00 and 14:45– 15:30, Monday to Friday.
Blue Badge holders and permit holders are exempt, and clear signage is displayed at both ends of the street to highlight these restrictions.

Local residents and parents walking their children to school continue to raise concerns about vehicles parking dangerously around Woodlands Primary School.

PCSO Conway continued to maintain a visible presence in the area when duties allowed. Monitoring the location either during the morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up times, engaging with motorists to offer advice on safe and considerate parking.
Eddisbury Road is designated as a ‘School Street’, prohibiting vehicles from driving or parking there between 08.30 – 09.00 and 1445 –15.30, Monday to Friday.
In addition, patrols were supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC) enforcement officers, who hold responsibility for enforcing the road markings and associated parking restrictions.
Blue Badge holders and permit holders are exempt from these restrictions.
There is clear, prominent signage displayed at both ends of the road to ensure drivers are aware of the rules.
