Cheshire Constabulary - Grappenhall and Thelwall Neighbourhood

We have had several reports of ASB in the Ollerton Close and Ashley Close area.  This has involved several addresses and individuals acting in an anti-social manner towards one another.
In addition, we have had a large number of reports involving intruders entering the old Thelwall Nursing Grange which has now become derelict and fallen into a state of disrepair.

We have spoken to all parties and liaised with the local housing provider for Ollerton and Ashely Close to try and bring a solution to these issues.  Some of the individuals involved have now been moved from the area, and further partner work is planned to address any further on-going issues. 
We have also been in close consultation with the council and the owner of Thelwall Grange, which has now been further secured to hopefully prevent any future access and reduce risk of injury to those entering this dangerous building.

There have been a number of reports relating to overnight thefts from insecure motor vehicles in the area. What is been done about this?

A male was stop checked by Officers following a call from a member of the public. He has since appeared in court charged with three offences of theft from vehicle and two of vehicle interference.  He is currently serving a 24 week sentence for these crimes.

We have noticed an increase in ASB and youths attending the old Grappenhall Hall school

We have also seen an increase in reports of youths frequenting this derelict property.  We have located and identified a number of children in the grounds/property and have returned these children home and advised parents.  Meetings have been held with security, as this site is staffed by private security.  In the meantime, the location remains on our patrol plan for the area.
