Priorities

23 Jun 2023

We welcome feedback from the public and want you to engage with us. We want you to let us know about the issues you have in your area,  how we can support your community and what you would like us to do in your area on a regular basis; that could be a 'Talk to Us' surgery were you can come along and speak to us about policing issues or to get crime prevention advice and find out who we are and what we do or we can run policing Masterclasses where we can deliver an event to educate communities about Drugs, ASB, Fraud, Child Sexual Exploitation, Modern Day Slavery etc. and provide signposting to support agencies.

We would also like to see an increase in Community SpeedWatch and Neighbourhood Watch schemes where communities take ownership for issues in there area, play a pivotal role in helping to tackle issues and get regular support from the police.

If you have any information about criminality or issues in your area, are interested in forming or becoming involved with Neighbourhood Watch or SpeedWatch or just want to speak to us, please make contact with us using the contact form at the bottom of this webpage.

We have received reports of Anti-Social Behaviour in the area, specifically targeting individual households and specific locations such as the cricket field. Officers will be patrolling the area on a regular basis and those found to be causing ASB will be issued with Section 35 dispersal notices banning them from the area for up to 48 hours. Failure to comply with notice can result in arrest.

If you have any information about these issues or are interested in forming or becoming involved with Neighbourhood Watch please make contact with us using the contact form at the bottom of this webpage.

We have received reports of speeding around the a370 at Hewish, specifically around school drop off and pick up times.

Officers will be patrolling the area and have made enquiries with the Road Safety Unit around any possible measures to assist in the management of road safety in the affected area.
