Avon and Somerset Constabulary - University of West of England Neighbourhood

Reports are ongoing in relation to the possession / supplying of controlled substances associated with the UWE.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team at the UWE continue to target drugs offending at the University. Since the beginning of the academic year (September 2021) there have been:-

6 supply investigations and
33 persons dealt with for possession of a controlled substance.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team are currently working with the UWE to review current drugs and alcohol policies.

Reports are ongoing concerning student associated ASB both on and off-campus.

The Neighbourhood Policing team at the UWE continue to work closely with the UWE community liaison team and our partner agencies to tackle anti social behaviour (ASB).
Local engagement is ongoing with problem locations / properties associated with reported Anti Social Behaviour.
For persistent issues relating to ASB a multi agency approach, utilizing our partner agencies is and has been used to tackle reported ASB, particularly where this impacts on vulnerable members of the community.
