Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether any medical and clinical waste from the NHS has been transported to the Grundon waste management site in Slough for incineration in the last 12 months.

Answer

The Grundon waste management site in Slough has a clinical waste incinerator, which is fully permitted by the Environment Agency to burn medical and clinical waste from the National Health Service. As such the Grundon waste management site in Slough allows clinical waste to be incinerated on site.
