PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (24 July 2018)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will make it his policy to establish a formal mechanism to (a) involve and (b) listen to patient groups during the next Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme negotiations.

Asked by:
Darren Jones (Labour)

Answer

Patient groups have made a valuable input to the development of proposals for a new medicines pricing scheme through correspondence and meetings. While the formal negotiations are confidential between industry and the Government, we will, with the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, continue this dialogue as the negotiations progress.
