To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many women and girls have been admitted to hospital with toxic shock syndrome in each of the last 10 years.

The data held in Hospital Episode Statistics is a count of hospital attendances, not individual people.

The attached document provides a count of finished admission episodes for females with a primary or secondary diagnosis of toxic shock syndrome, 2007-08 to 2016-17.
