Asked by:
Dr Rosena Allin-Khan (Labour)

Answer

DFID has had no recent discussions with the Chancellor of the Exchequer or Treasury on the UK’s commitment to spend 0.7% of its gross national income on official development assistance. The commitment was enshrined in law in 2015. The Government has been unequivocal that it will continue to honour this commitment, which serves both our national and international interests.
