To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many times (a) he and (b) Ministers of his Department have met the Chief Medical Officer in each of the last three years.

Answer

The Chief Medical Officer has met with my Rt. hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care 27 times within the past three years. During this period the Chief Medical Officer has also met with other Ministers at the Department 31 times.
