To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of potential barriers to joining the PrEP Impact trail for women who are victims of domestic violence.

Answer

Since the start of the pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) Impact trial in October 2017, the trial has recruited around 5,700 participants in 121 different clinics. Interim trial analysis, including reported gender of participants, will be available in winter 2018/19.

To date, no assessment has been made of potential barriers to joining the PrEP Impact trial for women who are victims of domestic violence.
