To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will hold discussions with the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on the application and enforcement of national minimum wage pay rates for seafarers working in the UK shipping industry.

I am expecting to receive a report of the National Minimum Wage working group and its recommendations shortly which I will consider. It is my intention to discuss the report with the Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Corporate Responsibility.
