To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what plans he has for the future of Caledonia base in Rosyth.

Answer
The intent to dispose of Ministry of Defence Caledonia was included in the Department's estate optimisation announcement 'A Better Defence Estate' in November 2016. The estimated disposal date is 2022. The future use of the site is a matter for the new owner, but we will work with Local Authorities and relevant stakeholders to ensure the disposal provides the best outcome for Defence and the local community.
