Answer
The Modernising Defence Programme is being undertaken to ensure that our Armed Forces have the right processes and capabilities in place to address the evolving threats that we face.
As the hon. Member will be aware, I have had regular discussions with the Chancellor since arriving at the Ministry of Defence and will continue to do so as the Modernising Defence Programme progresses.
