To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what assessment he has made of the effect of the closure of Cardiff Coroner Court on access to justice for residents of the South Wales valleys.

Answer

Local authorities have operational responsibility for coroner services and it is for them to make decisions on the need for any particular court.
