Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, if she will take steps to ensure that the Government’s planned review of personal independence payments resulting from the High Court judgment on the Social Security (Personal Independence Payment) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 does not result in anyone receiving a reduction in those payments.

Asked by:
Marsha De Cordova (Labour)

Answer

I refer the Hon. Member to the statement made by myself, Official Report, 30 January 2018, Column 703.

This review will not lead to reduced awards as a result of applying the MH judgment.
