To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what discussions he had with his counterpart in the Scottish Government on the Industrial Strategy White Paper prior to its publication.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has spoken with the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Jobs and Fair Work and the Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy several times between the publication of the Industrial Strategy Green Paper in January 2017 and the White Paper in November. This is addition to a significant level of discussion between BEIS officials and their counterparts in the Scottish Government.
