Answer
The Maritime UK People and Skills Working Group, of which DfT Officials are a key member of, are delivering recommendation 8 of the Maritime Growth Study which called for the promotional body to identify and prioritise the key skills issues facing the UK maritime sector and to develop a ‘skills strategy’ with focused objectives for addressing these concerns.
