Burma: Rohingya (24 January 2018)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what meetings he has had with members of the UK Rohingya community to discuss the Government's response to the crisis in Burma and Bangladesh.

Answer

​Officials from the FCO and DFID met with Rohingya community leaders in Bradford on 16 November. They explained the Government's response to the crisis in Burma and Bangladesh and listened to the views and suggestions of the representatives of the community. We intend to maintain this contact.
