PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Contraceptives: Young People (5 January 2018)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps he is taking to improve the implementation of NICE guidance on contraceptive services for people under 25.

Asked by:
Stephen Morgan (Labour)

Answer

Local authorities have been mandated to commission open access sexual health services, including contraception services, that meet the needs of their population. We expect commissioners and providers to take account of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance on contraception services for people under 25 when commissioning and providing local services.
