To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will earmark funding to support the recruitment and retention of carers who provide personal homecare visits.

Answer

In 2017/18 the Department has provided Skills for Care with funding of £22.3 million to deliver the Department’s adult social care workforce priorities including the recruitment and retention of domicilliary care workers.
