PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Thameslink Line (23 November 2017)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, (a) what planning his department has undertaken to assess the impact of timetable changes to Thameslink services and (b) what risk assessment has been undertaken of any changes

Asked by:
Rachael Maskell (Labour)

Answer

The new Thameslink timetable to be introduced from May 2018 has been developed by Govia Thameslink Railway as Thameslink operator, working with Network Rail and other rail industry stakeholders including the Department for Transport (DfT).

The proposed timetable has been considered both by DfT and the rail industry and the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to phase its introduction to reduce the risk of disruption to passengers.
