To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what support the NHS provides to partners of patients who receive a diagnosis.

Answer

Clinical commissioning groups are responsible for commissioning services for those individuals who require non-specialised psychological support, including those who may need help as a result of a family illness. Referrals to such services are often made by a person’s general practitioner.
