Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps he is taking to meet the Government's commitment to provide funding for the Samaritans' helpline until the end of the current Parliament.

Answer

As set out in the Prime Minister’s speech of 7 May, the Government has committed to funding the Samaritans helpline up to 2022. We are in discussion with the Samaritans about taking this forward.
