National Holocaust Memorial Centre and Learning Service (6 October 2017)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, on what dates the Royal Parks agency was informed that Victoria Tower Gardens (a) was being considered and (b) had been chosen as a site for the Holocaust Memorial; and on what date the Royal Parks agency was informed that the Holocaust Learning Centre would also be located in those gardens.

Answer

The Royal Parks was first consulted in December 2015 and they were advised of the decision to locate the Memorial in Victoria Tower Gardens in January 2016.The Royal Parks was subsequently consulted on locating the Learning Centre in Victoria Tower Gardens in May 2016.
