To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, if his Department will undertake a cost-benefit analysis of the introduction of mandatory separate food waste collections in England, including the effect on (a) local government and (b) landfill tax receipts; and if he will make a statement.

Defra is undertaking a cost benefit analysis of the introduction of separate food waste collections that will assess the impact on local government and landfill tax.
