To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many people were (a) proceeded against and (b) convicted of an offence under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 in each police force area in 2016.

The following information was provided by the Ministry of Justice.

The number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates’ courts and found guilty at all courts of offences under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992 and the Wild Mammals (Protection) Act 1996, in England and Wales, by police force area, in 2016, can be viewed in the table attached.
