Entry Clearances: Australia (20 July 2017)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many marriage visa applications from Australian nationals her Department received in (a) 2014, (b) 2015 and (c) 2016; and how many of those were (i) accepted, (ii) rejected and (iii) rejected for failing to meet the income threshold requirement in each of those years.

Asked by:
Naz Shah (Labour)

Answer

Information on the number of Family: Partner applications, and the number of cases resolved (i.e. decisions, of which how many were granted or refused), is published quarterly. This is avalable at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/immigration-statistics-january-to-march-2017/list-of-tables#visas

It is not possible to separately identify applications made or decided under the previous or new rules. Not all of the family route statistics from 9 July 2012 onwards relate to the new Immigration Rules. Further details are provided in the ‘Family’ section of the User Guide to Home Office Immigration Statistics, available at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/user-guide-to-home-office-immigration-statistics--9
