To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many staff have left the National Probation Service in the last 12 months due to (a) stress and (b) ill health.

Answer
We do not hold data on the number of staff who have left the National Probation Service due specifically to stress or ill health.
Figures for the number of staff who left the National Probation Service through medical retirement or dismissal due to medical inefficiency are however available. Latest figures for these can be found in table 11a of the HMPPS annual workforce statistics bulletin 31 March 2017 at: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/614643/noms-workforce-tables-march-2017.xlsx.
