Crimes of Violence: Acids (4 July 2017)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether there has been an increase in the number of acid attacks in 2017.

Answer

The Home Office does not specifically collect data from police forces on acid attacks as part of its regular data collection. Acid attacks are included in published statistics within assaults with injury.
