PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Department for Exiting the European Union: Scotland (20 April 2017)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, if he will publish all official correspondence between his Department and the Scottish Government since 1 March 2017.

Asked by:
Ian Murray (Labour)

Answer

There is high public interest in the government making sure that the UK remains as stable as possible throughout our exit from the EU. Disclosure of fragments of commercially or politically sensitive information may mean future discussions will not take place, or will not take place with the same frankness as before. The department has no plans to change policy regarding the publication of correspondence.
