PARLIAMENTARY WRITTEN QUESTION
Psychiatry: Waiting Lists (13 April 2017)

Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many people are on a waiting list to receive individual, one to one, psychotherapy treatment.

Asked by:
Rachael Maskell (Labour)

Answer

Data is not available for waiting times by type of healthcare professional.

The dataset supporting the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme does not report on the numbers of referrals still waiting to enter treatment, however it does provide the number of referrals waiting to enter treatment by waiting times breakdowns as follows: 28 days or less, between 29 and 56 days, between 57 and 90 days, more than 90 days, less than six weeks, and less than 18 weeks (i.e. the number of referrals waiting these periods for treatment).
