Question Asked

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many people were (a) proceeded against and (b) convicted of an offence under the Hunting Act 2004 in each police force area in (i) 2015 and (ii) 2016.

Answer

The number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates’ courts and found guilty at all courts for offences under the Hunting Act 2004, in England and Wales, in 2015, can be viewed in the table attached. Data for 2016 is planned for publication in May 2017.
