To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps his Department is taking to increase the capacity of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency as a result of the UK leaving the EU.

Answer

The Government is assessing fully how the United Kingdom’s decision to leave the European Union will impact on medicines regulation in the UK, including the future role of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and its capacity requirements.
