The Waste and Resources Action Programme has published guidance on household food waste collections, which includes advice on the costs and associated benefits of introducing separate food waste collections in England. This guidance is available at: http://www.wrap.org.uk/content/household-food-waste-collections-guide. I have not asked the Chief Scientific Adviser to provide additional advice on this matter.
