To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what representations his Department has received on the change in the value of secured energy bonds that were offered by CDB Energy; and what steps he is taking to address the implications of that change for investors.

Answer

HM Treasury has received representations from members of the public and MPs on the change in value of secured energy bonds offered by CDB Energy.

The government does not intervene in specific cases under the remit of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA has laid out the avenues available to investors in bonds offered by CDB Energy. This can be found at:
